Steps
- Arrange hot coals on one side of a charcoal barbecue and heat a griddle over them. Cook 6 bacon slices in a skillet over medium-high heat until crisp; reserve the bacon fat.
- Form 450g of ground beef, seventy percent lean into 2 patties, then melt 1 tablespoon of butter on the hot griddle. Add the patties and press for 10 seconds. Season with salt and pepper.
- Cook for about 3 minutes per side, until the center reaches 160°F / 71°C. Near the end, top with 2 cheddar slices and let melt.
- Crack 2 eggs into the skillet with the bacon fat. Cook over the cooler side of the barbecue, spooning fat over the whites until set.
- Halve 2 glazed doughnuts horizontally. Fill each with a cheeseburger, an egg, and the bacon.
