French Toast

Steps

  1. Whisk 2 large eggs, 80ml of whole milk, 40ml of heavy cream, 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, and ½ teaspoon of cinnamon in a shallow dish.
  2. Soak 4 thick slices of brioche in the mixture for 2-3 minutes per side.
  3. Measure 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil and 1 tablespoon of butter. Use a little of each per batch in a non-stick pan over medium heat.
  4. Fry two slices for about 3 minutes per side, until golden and the egg mixture is set through the middle.
  5. Repeat with the remaining bread, adding more of the measured oil and butter between batches.
