Hungarian Goulash

Hungarian Goulash

Steps

  1. Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a large pot and sauté 1 large diced onion until translucent.
  2. Add 450g of diced stewing beef and brown it. Pour in enough of 3 cups of beef broth to cover the beef, then stir in 1 heaping tablespoon of sweet Hungarian paprika and a little black pepper.
  3. Cover and simmer over low heat for about 1 hour, until the beef is tender.
  4. Add 1 cup of diced carrots, 2 cups of diced potatoes, and the remaining broth. Simmer until the vegetables are soft, then season with salt and pepper.
