Korean Soy Potatoes

Korean Soy Potatoes

Steps

  1. Peel 425g of potatoes and cut into ¾in / 2cm cubes. Rinse well to remove surface starch and drain.
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a pan. Add the potatoes and 2 garlic cloves, minced. Stir-fry until the potato edges look slightly translucent.
  3. Add ½ cup of chopped onion and cook for a few minutes.
  4. Stir in ½ cup of water, 2 tablespoons of soy sauce, and 1 tablespoon of sugar. Simmer over medium heat for about 10 minutes, stirring often, until the potatoes are tender and glazed. Add water if needed to prevent sticking.
  5. Remove from the heat. Stir in 1 tablespoon of toasted sesame oil and sprinkle with 1 pinch of sesame seeds.
